Burlap Fall Wreath

Share It:
Fall is here!!  YES! Hello pumpkin spice everything!  Hello Halloween candy!  Hello mums! Hello new wreath!

I got crafty a few weeks ago and decided to make a new fall wreath. I used up some burlap I had laying around and then just tucked in some clusters of fall foliage, flowers, and glittery acorns, securing everything with the good ole glue gun!

I stole the glittery acorns from last year's fall centerpiece!  You know how I love to reuse stuff to make it new again and I think they add the perfect amount of glitz!   You can see another fall wreath here!

So I shared this picture on my  Facebook   page  but I am sharing it here too if you missed it.

This is my 4 year old, Ellie, with our dog, Pixie. They have always had a special connection. When Ellie was a toddler, Pixie would give her gentle mother-dog nibbles when Ellie was having a tantrum or going near a door as if to say "Dear, that's enough!" As Ellie grew up she became more and more in love with Pixie and now she spends a good part of her day enticing Pixie to play with toys and insists on giving Pixie her little treats.

The other day Molly, my 7 year old, came and said "Look at this, Mom!" and led me to the front door. There they were, sitting on our lawn, and I could see Ellie talking to Pixie. Pixie was sitting there listening and never moved away from Ellie.  Jim rolls his eyes at me when I say that God meant for Pixie to find our family but I know it is true. I'm so glad Ellie will know what it truly means to be loyal to friends because she is learning that from Pixie.  This sweet, simple photo says so much about them!

I hope you are having a good week!  I'll be around again soon!  Thanks for reading and visiting!

Cheers!
Jenny
