delicious ice cream yum

Valentine's Day is coming and what better way to enjoy the season than to make a sweet for your sweetie!  These cherry chocolate chip ice cream floats are perfect and super easy to put together and they are so fun to drink!  Make sure to top them with whipped cream and some more chocolate chips and, of course, a cherry!

The ingredients: Cherry Soda (I used Stewart's but there are other versions), vanilla chocolate chip ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate chips, and maraschino cherries.  Oh and fancy glasses. Floats do not taste as good in a regular glass.

I found 2 scoops of ice cream to be the perfect amount for these soda floats. Scoop them into your glass and then pour your soda over.  I used about a third of the soda or 4oz for each ice cream float.

Isn't it pretty?  We loved the layers.

Then a dollop or two or three of whipped cream, a sprinkle of chips, a cherry on top, and a cute straw all to finish your sweet treat!

Each girl got her own cherry chocolate chip ice cream float and they were devoured!  I will admit I thought it was absolutely delicious and so so festive!

  2. Wow, those floats look delicious! They would be great for July 4th, too, with a couple of blueberries for garnish. Or for little girls' birthdays. Lovely!
